Arranged in three groups: I. Promptbooks (1 in 2 vols.). II. Dialogue parts (14). III. Lyrics (1). All items are manuscript, in English, and carry the title "King Carrot." The promptbook is in two volumes, consisting of sections of the printed libretto cut and pasted into a lined ledger carrying manuscript text. Several of the dialogue parts carry names of performers, including one part bearing the signature of Harry Becker, esq.

Jacques Offenbach (1819–1880) was a German-born French composer and cellist of Jewish ancestry.
